Section 8 of Companies Act permits the registration of Company as Not for Profit Company with limited liability without being using the word “Limited” or the word “Private Limited” after their names. Not for profit organization are set up to carry on some activity for the promotion of commerce, arts, science, sports, education, research, social welfare, religion, charity, protection of environment or any such object and prohibiting the distribution of its profits to its members.
